RGT Tandem Series,
is a two-stage, advanced technology system that provides maximum efficiency, superior product quality and uninterrupted production in the recycling of multi-layer and printed plastic waste with high moisture content.
In the first stage;
Shredding, mixing, heating, compaction and pre-drying processes are carried out by the specially developed pre-conditioning system and the high-efficiency first extruder. In this section, a significant portion of the moisture and volatiles contained in the raw material is removed in a controlled manner.
Thanks to a special filter installed at the outlet of the first extruder, the material undergoes an initial filtration before proceeding to the second stage, and coarse contaminants are separated from the system.
In the second stage;
The tandem extruder is equipped with a high-capacity degassing system supported by a powerful vacuum pump. At this stage, the remaining moisture and volatiles are also effectively removed.
With a second high-precision filtration unit integrated at the outlet of the tandem extruder, the melt is filtered again, ensuring the production of purer, higher-quality granules. This dual filtration technology significantly enhances the final product quality, especially when processing highly contaminated and complex materials.
Finally;
The melt is directed, according to preference, to either a water-ring or underwater pelletizing system and formed into homogeneous, glossy, high-quality granules.

Operating Principle

The process begins with a customer-specific automatic feeding unit.

The material is shredded, mixed, compacted, heated, and dried in the pre-conditioning unit, bringing it to a homogeneous form.

In the first extruder, moisture and volatile components are effectively removed through the special screw design and dual-stage degassing.

The second extruder (Tandem Unit) performs deep degassing through the vacuum pump and degassing outlet.

Thanks to the filtration systems positioned at the end of both extruders, dual filtration is achieved; in this way, all remaining contaminants are removed from the molten plastic and high-purity granules are obtained.

In the final stage, the granules are shaped using special cutting and drying technologies and brought to the excellent quality required for the end user.
RGT Tandem Series Recycling Line is designed to deliver superior performance even when processing challenging materials with high moisture content and heavy printing.

In the first extruder (3), moisture and volatile components are effectively removed by means of a special screw design and a dual degassing stage. Then, the second extruder (Tandem Unit) (4) performs intensive degassing with the support of a vacuum pump and degassing outlet. This stage ensures product quality, especially for heavily printed materials with high moisture content.
Thanks to the filtration systems (5) positioned at the end of both extruders, dual filtration is achieved; as a result, remaining contaminants are removed from the molten plastic and high-purity granules are obtained.
