The growing global population and fast fashion trends are driving a necessary increase in fiber production, leading to excessive consumption and production. Of the 110 million tons of fiber produced annually, 52% is PET, and this production generates a significant amount of waste fiber.

Because PET bottle flakes are easy and straightforward to process, today 99% of textile products are produced from post-consumer bottle flakes.
